Zettelkasten
A Zettelkasten is literally a "box of notes".
It's an organization technique, where short notes are created about the thoughts/info the author considers relevant.
Definitions vary, but the core is
Notes are atomic
Each note contains a single thought/bit of info.
Each note has an ID.
Notes can link each other.
No strict categorization helps analysis paralisis, just file a thought
Ideally a system will cross-reference it using keywords.

Notes are atomic
Each note should hold a single though/bit of information. It could be a paragraph or a couple of sentences.
Each Note Has a Home (??)
Every note has a distinct home in the filing system so that you can easily find it when you need it.
Each Note Has a Name
In order to locate the note in its home, the note must have a unique ID.
Notes Link to Other Notes
Using the ID number of a note it is possible to link two notes together.
